Back on track!
We had one of the busiest days in a long time today, & we needed it!
Five favorite songs of the day
Here I Dreamt I was an Architect-the Decemberists, Castaways & Cutouts
"And I am nothing of a builder, but here I dreamt I was an architect and I built this balustrade to keep you home to keep you safe from the outside world."
Music for dorky english majors!
Visions of Johanna-Birmingham, Alabama, April 30, 2006
Desolation Row was recently added to the Oxford Anthology of American Poetry, it could've just as easily been this song, though. This is one of the best versions since the great ones from 2000.
Get Right With God-Lucinda Williams, Essence
Sing it, sister!
Wide River to Cross-Buddy Miller, Universal United House of Prayer
This is fast becoming one of my favorites.
Go Pistons!

The Pistons crossed the first part of their wide river. Last night's game was entertaining. I've got a lot of learnin' to do with today's list of five. It's off to google I go.
I didn't know there were songs about architects. Perhaps I should check that one out.
